AsiaPOP Comicon partners with Marvel and Netflix for a bigger Manila event this year.

After the overwhelming success of the first two events, Universal Event & Entertainment, a subsidiary of the Al Ahli Holding Group (AAHG), recently confirmed a bigger and geekier AsiaPOP Comicon is once again coming to Manila for the third time.

This year’s AsiaPOP Comicon Manila (APCC Manila 2017) is happening on August 25 to 27 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The event will continue to be the ultimate celebration for fans of pop culture bringing comic followers, artists, designers, animators, toy manufacturers, collectors, movie buffs, music lovers, cosplayers, gamers, technology buffs, fanatic geeks, fitness enthusiasts, beauty and fashion lovers providing immersive and inclusive experience for the visitors.

One of last year’s highlight had been “Hall M”, a Marvel Showcase for APCC Manila, where superhero fans were treated to never-before-seen footage including straight from the Marvel Studios.

Last year, APCC Manila were also treated with strellar set of celebrities that included Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Nicholas Hoult (X-Men and Mad Max: Fury Road), Joe Dempsie (Game of Thrones and Skins), and Claire Holt (The Vampire Diaries and The Originals), along with a promising roster of artists, cosplayers, and exclusive merchandise.

This year, the world’s leading internet television network Netflix, has partnered with APCC Manila 2017 as one of the main sponsors of the event, offering exciting experiences inspired by their array of original series and films.

The event will once again feature the CAGE, Cosplay Authority Global Challenge, one of the biggest and farthest-reaching cosplay competitions of its kind in the world.
