Daisuki to end streaming service in October

Anime streaming platform DAISUKI announced on Tuesday that it will end its service on October 31, 2017 at 11 a.m. Japan Standard Time.

It also released a schedule leading up to its closure. New registration for DAISUKI’s premium membership service was closed back on July 1. Sale of rentable content will be stopped on August 31. DAISUKI NEXT will end all service on September 29. The DAISUKI app will no longer be available for download on October 2. DAISUKI’s social networking service accounts and customer support will be deactivated on December 15.

The final billing date for premium membership was on June 30, but current premium member will continue to have access without any further charge until October 31.

Details regarding the Dragon Ball Super simulcast after the closing will be announced in a later date.

DAISUKI was founded in 2013 by Asatsu-DK and major animation studios: Toei Animation, Aniplex, Sunrise, TMS Entertainment, Nihon Ad Systems, and Dentsu. Currently managed by Anime Consortium Japan, it has streamed and simulcasted several anime series which includes Eromanga Sensei, One Punch Man, Granblue Fantasy and some Mobile Gundam series.
