The live-action Gintama movie will finally hit local cinemas as theater chain, SM Cinema reveals new release date. According to the official website of SM Cinema, the live-action hit film will premiere on September 20 in the Philippines.
The movie’s distibutor, Pioneer Films confirms the date in a message.
The original release date for the movie was initially set in August 30 and then recently, the movie was delayed indefinitely.
The film is based on the popular manga series of the same name by Hideaki Sorachi. It opened in Japanese theaters last July 14.
Japanese actor Shun Oguri plays the protagonist Gintoki Sakata, who run the Yorozuya shop. Yuichi Fukuda from the live-action Hentai Kamen film directed the movie.
