The film is based on the popular manga series of the same name by Hideaki Sorachi.
Japanese actor Shun Oguri plays the protagonist Gintoki Sakata, who run the Yorozuya shop. Yuichi Fukuda from the live-action Hentai Kamen film directed the movie.
The movie will premiere on September 20 and it is distributed by Pioneer Films.
