Hallohallo Entertainment announced that the Kapamilya noontime show “It’s Showtime” will host the MNL48 Idol Search during its Registration and Audition Tour held last October 20-21, 2017 at Starmall Alabang.
The idol search is scheduled to air next year but no specific airing date has been announced yet.
The announcement was also made on MNL48’s official social media accounts.

MNL48 has also added more locations for its Registration and Audition Tours. Among the venues are LRT 2 Legarda Station (October 25), Immaculate Conception Institutions in Sta Maria, Bulacan (October 26) and Tutuban Mall in Divisoria (November 4-5).
MNL48 is the Philippine version and newest sister group of famous idol group in Japan, AKB48. Similar sister groups were launched in Thailand, Indonesia and Taiwan.
