Live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film to release in more than 190 countries

The live-action Fullmetal Alchemist film is getting an international release in over 190 countries and territories around the world.

According to the official website, the release includes the United States and Europe. The announcement didn’t further specify countries or territories included. The website described the release as  widest international opening for any Japanese film – live action or animated.

The website also released three new character trailers that features the movie theme song, “Kimi no Soba ni Iru yo” by Misua.

The live-action film is based on the hit manga series by Hiromu Arakawa and it is  directed by Fumihiko Sori. It stars Ryōsuke Yamada portraying as Edward Elric, Atomu Mizuishi to voice CGI-generated Alphonse Elric, Tsubasa Honda as Winry Rockbell and Dean Fujioka as Mustang.

The film opened at the 30th Tokyo International Film Festival last October 25 for its world premiere. The film will then open in Japan on December 1.
