GEM and Johnny & Associates to bring ‘Hey! Say! JUMP’ to Hong Kong

Entertainment channel GEM will once again set to broadcast Nippon TV’s highly anticipated music event, “THE MUSIC DAY Songs for You” this July.

This year’s “THE MUSIC DAY Songs for You ” will air on GEM this July 7, Saturday from 4:40pm-10:00pm live from Japan. A stunning line-up of Japan’s hottest artist will perform live in this year’s 5-hour music event which includes Little Glee Monsters, Perfume, Daichi Miura, Hitomi, Nogizaka 46, Sekai No Owari, Exile and many more. The event will be hosted by Sho Sakurai from Japanese boyband group ARASHI.

Furthermore, GEM has announced their partnership with Japan’s talent agency, Johnny & Associates, to bring the Japanese boy group Hey! Say! JUMP to Hong Kong to perform live as part of event’s line-up.  

“We held a concert in Hong Kong for our Asia tour back in 2012, but it was one of the places that we wanted to visit again as a group. We’re elated to be given the opportunity to visit Hong Kong this time! We hope to present our performance to everyone in Asia. While we’re in Hong Kong, we would like to try the city’s famous cuisine, so we welcome all recommendations. We hope that GEM’s viewers will look forward to our performance.’ says Hey! JUMP, a nine-member band comprising Ryosuke Yamada, Yuri Chinen, Yuto Nakajima, Keito Okamoto, Daiki Arioka, Yuya Takaki, Kei Inoo, Hikaru Yaotome and Kota Yabu is one of the most successful groups in Japan. Not only have they conquered the music scene, they have also proven to be multi-talented with starring roles in drama series and movies, and as hosts in variety shows and radio programs in Japan.
