MNL48 has announced that they will be opening auditions for the group’s second generation members on January 31, 2019.
The announcement was made on Saturday during the girls’ appearance on ABS-CBN’s noontime show, It’s Showtime and after receiving the Gold and Platinum awards for their second single Pag-ibig Fortune Cookie.

Details such as the requirements and mechanics for the auditions will be announced on a later date.
MNL48 is currently made up of 48 members and 9 trainees who passed the 1st generation audition back in December 2016.
