Japan Foundation Manila announces details for Japan Film Week

The official website for Japan Foundation Manila has announced details on the upcoming Japanese Film Week which will be held this February.

Japan Film Week is described as a series of Japanese film screenings in several regions targeting students and film goers as well as the general public who rarely have access to Japanese films.

It will officially kick off with screenings of MUMON: The Land of Stealth at FDCP Cinematheque Centre in Iloilo City on February 13 at 6:30pm. Other films which will be shown with English subtitles are as follows Your Name, Gintama, 5 Centimeters per Second, Your Lie in April, Shodo Girls!!! and The Garden of Words.

The screening venues are Cinematheque Centre Iloilo (February 13-16), Cinematheque Centre Manila (February 19-21), Shang’s Red Carpet Mandaluyong (February 23) and Cinematheque Centre Davao (February 27-March 2).

Admission is free on a first-come, first-serve basis.

The event is organized by The Japan Foundation Manila, in partnership with the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and NIHONGO Partners’ SPFL-CJH schools in celebration of the Philippine National Arts Month this February.
