Pioneer Films announced on Monday the Philippine release date of Makoto Shinkai’s highly-anticipated new film ‘Weathering With You’.
The film is set to release to the General Public on Wednesday, August 28 according to Pioneer Film’s affiliate Facebook page, Anime Movies Philippines.

A representative from the company told ANIMEPH that the previously reported release date is only tentative. Pioneer Films is the movie’s distributor in the Philippines.
Weathering With You is a Japanese anime film written and directed by Makoto Shinkai. Shinkai is widely known for directing the highest-grossing anime film of all time, ‘Your Name,’ which previously released in local cinemas in 2016.
It was reported that the film has surpassed the opening box office of ‘Your Name.’
