A new television anime project from Key titled The Day I Became a God was announced on Sunday.
The announcement was made during a live stream presentation hosted by the visual novel studio, ANIPLEX and P.A. Work. The series is a collaboration project of the 3 companies.
The official website describe the series as follows:
Hina, a girl who awakens as a God, foreshadows the “end of the world.” So, she chooses a boy. As a companion to watch over, at the end.
Jun Maeda, who previously worked with CLANNAD is writing the original story and script for the series. Joining Maeda is NA-GA who was announced as the series’ character designer. NA-GA worked on Key’s previous works Angel Beats and Charlotte.
The Day I Became a God is slated October 2020. It is the third original anime series from Key following Angel Beats! (2010) and Charlotte (2015).
