Japanese global apparel retailer UNIQLO is set to release the Gunpla 40th anniversary UT collection in Philippine stores this June.
According to UNIQLO Philippines, the graphic T-shirt line-up will be released in local stores starting June 8.
The collection features 8 T-shirts with printed designs of several popular plastic models from the Mobile Suit Gundam franchise.
The word ‘Gunpla’ is a portmanteau of “Gundam plastic model”. The first Gunpla kits was released in 1990 and in 2015, an estimated of 450 million Gunpla kits were sold worldwide.
UNIQLO Philippines has yet to announce if they will also release exclusive GUNPLA model kits during the launch, similar to other countries.
