The official website for the anime film announced on Monday the new release date of Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet in Japan.
The film was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Japan. It is now slated for April 2021 and new information will be updated on the official website.
Manga creator Gosho Aoyama recently tweeted an illustration where the film’s characters Conan, Shuichi Akai, and Masumi Sera apologize for the long wait.
Detective Conan: Scarlet Bullet is the 24th movie in the franchise and it is set to release in Japan on April 17, 2020. The movie’s story is based on the upcoming 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics.
The film was also slated for release in the Philippines and other Southeast Asian countries this year.
