Toei, other anime firms launch “Animelog” Youtube channel

Several anime firms such as Toei Animation, Kodansha and Nippon Animation are collaborating together to start a YouTube channel called “AnimeLog” or “Anilog.”

According to reports from Variety, the new Youtube channel aims to provide 3,000 anime titles from 30 company by 2022 . These companies include Nippon Animation, Tezuka Productions, Toei Animation, Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions, Shinei Animation, and Kodansha.

It is operated by Analyzelog, a Japanese company that supports corporate digital strategies.

At launch, anime titles such as “Black Jack” and “Future Boy Conan” have started streaming on the channel. Other titles such as “Astro Boy”, “Knight of the Ribbon” and the “World Masterpiece Theater” series are scheduled to release soon.

Its contents are currently available in Japan but the company has plans to provide subtitles in English, Chinese and in other languages for overseas audiences.
