Detective Conan’s popular 11th episode, “Moonlight Sonata Murder Case” is getting a two-part anime remake as part of the show’s 1000th broadcast project
The announcement was made by the series’ official website and Twitter account on Wednesday.
The two-part special will premiere on March 6-13 in Japan. The two episodes will be the the series’ 1000th and 1001st episodes, respectively.
The original episode aired first aired on April 8, 1996.
Pianist Aimi Kobayashi will be in charge of performing the Beethoven’s Piano Sonata No. 14, popularly known as “Moonlight Sonata.”
Starting March 6, a new opening theme song titled “ZERO to Hajimete” will also be broadcast. It is sang by “Mai Kuraki” who also performed several opening and ending theme songs of “Detective Conan.”
