Stand By Me Doraemon 2 gets fan screening on February 20

Singapore-based company Odex on Friday announced that 3D anime film Stand By Me Doraemon 2 is getting a fan screening in the Philippines on Saturday, February 20.

The film is set to be shown at SM Cinema in Bacoor Cavite.

The fan screening ticket costs Php 1,400, which include a movie pass with snack and several anime items like a T-shirt, a coaster set (5 designs) and 3 A2 posters.

Apart from the Philippines, the film is also set to open in Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, and Indonesia.

Stand by Me Doraemon 2 is a Japanese animated film based on Fujiko Fujio’s Doraemon manga and sequel to the 2014 film Stand by Me Doraemon. It is largely based on the manga chapter “Grandma’s Memories”.

The film was originally scheduled for released on August 8 in Japan but was later postponed indefinitely due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was released in November 2020.

The first Stand By Me Doraemon opened in the Philippines in June 2015.
