Warner Bros JP to hold fan session for upcoming “Rurouni Kenshin” live-action films

Warner Bros Japan announced on Friday that they will hold a “Global Fan Session” online event for “Rurouni Kenshin” live-action films.

The online event is scheduled on March 24, 2021 (JST) and it will host the cast and crew of the upcoming “Rurouni Kenshin: The Final/The Beginning” films. It includes Takeru Satoh, Emi Takei, Mackenyu Arata, Munetaka Aoki, Tao Tsuchiya, Kasumi Arimura, Yosuke Eguchi and Director Keishi Otomo.

Fans are encouraged to send in video messages for a chance to be invited to the live event.

“We’d like to ask you to send in a passionate video message full of love for the Rurouni Kenshin films! When sending in your video message, you can also win the chance to participate in the LIVE event : 50 people among those who submit a video will be invited to join the event virtually on that day wherever you will be!”, Warner Bro Japan said.

More details will be announced at a later date.

“The Final” will open in Japanese theaters on April 23, followed by the second film “The Beginning” on June 4, 2021.

Rurouni Kenshin Final Chapter will cover the original manga’s Jinchu arc, which features a new villain, a mysterous weapon dealer named Enichi. Japanese-American actor Mackenyu will play the said role.

It will also tell the origin story of Kenshin Himura’s cross-shaped scar in his cheek.
