The highly-popular isekai fantasy series “The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime” is getting its first feature film.
Titled “The Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime The Movie: Scarlet Bond”, it will hit Japanese theaters on November 25. As the Japanese release nears, the film’s theme song and a new trailer have also been unveiled.
The trailer kicks off with the member of Tempest arriving in the poisoned country of Raja. It raises many questions including “What is the truth behind the poisoning of Raja?” What is the legend of the goddess?” “What is Lacua’s true goal?” and “Can Hiiro come to his senses?” It is full of highlights, and the theme song “Make Me Feel Better” by MindaRyn playing in the background.
It was also announced that the film is set to be released internationally in over 12 countries and regions in December 2022. It includes the U.S., United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Canada, France, Germany, South Korea, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Latin America, etc.
It will be distributed by Crunchyroll, MUSE, and ANIPLUS.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime is an isekai story that revolves around the main character who dies and gets reincarnated in another world as a slime. He makes full use of the various skills that he learns as he explores this new world, and through his courage and wisdom, he gains friends along the way.
The anime first aired from October 2018 to March 2019, then in 2021 from January to September, the first cour of its second season. The first TenSura spin-off anime based on the comic The Slime Diaries: That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and the second cour of season 2 all aired consecutively for those nine months.
