Japanese idol group Sakurazaka46 has been confirmed to perform at the upcoming “2023 Asia Artist Awards” on December 14. The eighth edition of the awards ceremony is scheduled to take place at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue Bulacan.
Sakurazaka46, previously named Keyakizaka46, was formed in 2015 under Sony Music Entertainment and Yasushi Akimoto’s management. They embarked on a mission to captivate audiences with their music and performances, earning a devoted following and becoming a beloved part of Japan’s entertainment landscape.
Often referred to as Asia’s counterpart to the Oscars and Grammy Awards, the Asia Artist Awards (AAA) aims to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Asian artists in various creative domains. The ceremony typically draws the participation of renowned Korean actors and artists, as well as other notable talents from across Asia.
This year’s AAA will feature esteemed hosts, including Jang Won-young from IVE, soloist Kang Daniel, and Seong Han-Bin from ZEROBASEONE.
Tickets will go on sale on November 12.
The 2023 Asia Artist Awards is a joint effort, with Star News, the AAA Organizing Committee, TONZ Entertainment, and PULP Live World.
