The popular Japanese music duo YOASOBI, known for turning novels into songs, will hold their first solo concert in Singapore on January 11, 2024 at Resorts World Ballroom. The concert is part of their Asia tour, which also includes stops in Kuala Lumpur and Jakarta.
YOASOBI, composed of composer Ayase and vocalist Ikura, debuted in 2019 with the song “Into The Night”, which topped various streaming charts in Japan and abroad. The song also surpassed 1 billion streaming plays for the first time in Japan in September 2023. Since then, the duo has released several hit songs, such as “The Blessing”, the opening theme of the TV anime “Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury”, and “OSHI NO KO”, the opening theme of the TV anime “OSHI NO KO”. The latter song broke the Billboard JAPAN No. 1 record by topping the JAPAN Hot 100 chart for 21 weeks, and also topped Billboard’s global charts in the U.S., surpassing 400 million cumulative streaming plays in the shortest time ever.
YOASOBI has also demonstrated their live performance skills, hosting their first offline live in December 2021, appearing at their first summer festival at “ROCK IN JAPAN FESTIVAL 2022” in August 2022, and concluding their inaugural arena tour in June 2023, attracting a total of 130,000 viewers. Through their outstanding performances, they have solidified their status as a leading figure in the J-POP scene, captivating audiences worldwide and spreading their influence globally.
Tickets for YOASOBI’s first solo concert in Singapore will go on sale via Ticketmaster starting from December 1, 2023, 10:00AM Singapore Time. Ticket prices range from SGD128 to SGD238, with booking fees applying.
