“Avatar: The Last Airbender” stars Gordon Cormier and Dallas Liu are coming to PH

Gordon Cormier and Dallas Liu, the lead stars of Netflix’s highly anticipated live-action adaptation of Avatar: The Last Airbender, are set to grace a fan event in Manila on February 21.

Cormier, who plays the titular role of Aang, and Liu, who portrays his nemesis Prince Zuko, announced their visit in a video posted on Netflix Philippines’ Facebook page and other official channels.

“We will be in Manila for February 21st for the Avatar fan event!” Liu said. “It’s going to be amazing and so much fun, so please come and join us!” Cormier added: “Let’s go. Yip Yip!”

The fan event is expected to feature exclusive previews, interviews, and surprises from the highly anticipated series, which premieres on Netflix on February 22.The series is a new version of the Nickelodeon show that ran from 2005 to 2008.

It follows the adventures of Aang, the last survivor of the Air Nomads and the reincarnated Avatar, who can control the four elements of Water, Earth, Fire, and Air.Aang teams up with Katara and Sokka, siblings from the Southern Water Tribe, to stop the Fire Nation from conquering the world. Along the way, they face many challenges and enemies, including the Fire Nation’s crown prince Zuko, who is obsessed with capturing Aang.

The series is created by Albert Kim, who also serves as the showrunnerand writer. The executive producers are Jabbar Raisani, Michael Goi, Roseanne Liang, and Jet Wilkinson. The cast includes Gordon Cormier, Dallas Liu, Ian Ousley, Kiawentiio, Paul Sun-Hyung Lee, and Daniel Dae Kim.

Avatar: The Last Airbender is set to premiere exclusively on Netflix on February 22.
