Nominations are now open for the 2025 Otaku Choice Awards (OCA), an annual event recognizing outstanding contributions to the Philippine Otaku community. Organized by Red Cloud Interactive, the awards honor excellence in anime, manga, photography, and pop culture.
Fans are invited to nominate their favorite cosplayers, content creators, photographers, events, and personalities that have made a significant impact over the past year. Two new categories debut this year: Outstanding Otaku Content Creator, recognizing individuals or groups producing community-related content, and Outstanding Japanese Cover Band, honoring local bands performing Japanese music.
“Our community has continued to grow and inspire. Through these awards, we celebrate the creativity and dedication of Filipino Otaku fans,” said Ranne Tubig, OCA Co-Founder.
Nominations are open until March 16, 2025, via the official form at https://bit.ly/oca2025nomination. Following the nomination period, a panel of experts will review entries to determine the finalists. Voting will then open to the public.
Winners will be announced at the Otaku Choice Awards ceremony on May 2, 2025, during the Pinoy Otaku Festival at Trade Hall, Robinsons Novaliches, Quezon City.
Launched to spotlight achievements in the Otaku community, the Otaku Choice Awards continues to serve as a platform to acknowledge the passion and talent shaping local pop culture.
