“Barangay 143” launches official soundtrack

To mark the show’s comeback, “Barangay 143” formally launched its official soundtrack last Saturday, March 23 in SM Masinag.

The mall show featured OST music artists Gloc 9 (“Dito sa Barangay 143”), Krizza Neri (“Alanganin”), Jin Ho Bae (“Para Sa Isa’t Isa”), and Harlem Ty (“Liga ng Buhay” and “Salamin”). Kapuso stars Kimpoy Feliciano, Melbelline Caluag, and John Kenneth also graced the event and gave their renditions of some songs.

Other OST music artists include Nina (“Para Sa Isa’t Isa”), Kris Lawrence (“Alanganin”), Top Suzara (“Liga ng Buhay” and “Salamin”), Maya (“Dito Sa Barangay 143”), Alyssa Quijano (“Frozen in Time”), Kevin Yadao (“Basketboleros”), Batang Maligaya (“Mangarap Ka”), and Willie Revillame (“Miss Pwede Ba”).

The series made history as the first Filipino-made anime to air on Philippine television. It was produced by Philippine-based Synergy88 Entertainment Media Inc. alongside Singapore’s August Media Holdings and Japan’s TV Asahi. It finally returns on Philippine television beginning this Sunday (March 31), 10 A.M. on GMA 7.

The series continues on the story of Bren Park (Migo Adecer) and his brewing off-court rivalry with Wax (Ruru Madrid) for Vicky’s (Julie Anne San Jose) heart.
