Kyoto Animation’s award-winning movie ‘A Silent Voice’ will be shown on ABS-CBN’s Asianovela Channel this August.
This is according to a promotional video aired on the channel, which unveils its upcoming shows this month.
The movie will air on the channel’s “AC Weekend Cinema” block this Sunday, August 25 at 11 A.M. with replays at 9 P.M. on the same day.
‘A Silent Voice’ is a Japanese anime film based on a manga series written and illustrated by Yoshitoki Ōima.The film earned JPY2.2 billion as of December 2016 and was listed 19th in the top 20 highest-grossing film in Japan for 2016.
In 2017, the film also won several awards, which include the ‘Best Animation of the Year’ in the 26th Japan Movie Critics Awards and ‘Anime of the Year’ in the Tokyo Anime Award Festival.
The film was released in local cinemas in 2017.
Asianovela Channel is a free digital TV channel, which features Filipino-dubbed and uncut Asian television series. It is available free on ABS-CBN TV Plus.
