Makoto Shinkai’s ‘Your Name.’ to screen at Cinema ’76 this August

(UPDATED 8/28) One of Makoto Shinkai’s featured anime films, ‘your name.’, will hold special screenings starting this Wednesday to celebrate the local release of Shinkai’s latest film, ‘Weathering With You.’

The film is set to screen at the micro-cinemas in Cinema ’76 starting August 28. They also announced that apart from ‘Your Name.’, the micro-cinema will also show the anime film ‘Weathering With You’ as a double feature.

Screening dates are as follows, showing only at their Anonas branch.

Movie tickets for ‘Your Name’ are priced at Php150 each while tickets for ‘Weathering With You’ cost at Php250 (Student rate at Php200).

Cinema ’76 is described as a ‘pioneering micro-cinema dedicated to bringing the latest Filipino and foreign films to its discriminating movie audience.’ They have branches in San Juan and Anonas in Quezon City.

‘Your Name.’ is the second-highest-grossing anime film of all time worldwide behind Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away. It was released in the Philippines in 2016.
