AKB48, overseas sister groups joins online charity concert

AKB48 and their overseas sister groups will be joining an online charity concert in support of UNICEF’s fight against COVID-19.

Select members of the AKB48, JKT48, BNK48, MNL48, Team SH, Team TP, CGM48 and DEL48 are set to participate in the ‘One Love Asia’ charity concert this Wednesday, May 27.

Apart from AKB48, popular Asian artists such as Morning Musume, Choi Siwon, Apink’s Jung Eun Ji, Christian Bautista, Rico Blanco, Morissette will be also participating.

The ‘One Love Asia’ concert is part of United Nations Children’s Fund’s global campaign to “reimagine” a better world for children post COVID-19. It is presented by WebTV Asia and YouTube with a message to prevent new coronavirus infection with gratitude to frontliners. 

The proceeds from the concert will be donated to UNICEF.
