Cardcaptor Sakura is based on a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by the manga group Clamp. The Clear Card arc is a sequel to the original series and focuses on the protagonist Sakura Kinomoto in junior high school.

The original anime series first aired in Japan in 1998.  The series aired on Philippine television as part of ABS-CBN’s afternoon programming in 2001.

ABS-CBN’s digital channel Yey started airing the Clear Card arc, however, the channel ceased its operations after airing few episodes.
