RADWIMPS WORLD TOUR 2024 “The way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace” IN MANILA

Japanese rock sensation RADWIMPS is thrilled to announce the much-anticipated Manila leg of their RADWIMPS WORLD TOUR 2024 “The way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace”. After the immense success of their sold-out global tour in 2023, the band is set to return to Asia this April and May. RADWIMPS is gearing up to grace the Philippine stage for the first time on May 1, 2024 at the Araneta Coliseum, responding to the overwhelming demand from their enthusiastic Filipino fan base.

Since their formation in 2001, RADWIMPS has emerged as a prominent force in the Japanese music scene, making a major label debut in 2005 and amassing a dedicated fan following, particularly among the younger generation. With nine studio albums to their name, RADWIMPS has not only captivated Japan but also achieved international acclaim, creating music for blockbuster animated films like “Your Name.” and “Weathering with You,” earning accolades at the Japanese Academy Awards for Best Original Score.

In November 2021, RADWIMPS released their latest studio album ‘FOREVER DAZE,’ navigating the challenges posed by the pandemic. The album reflects on their musical journey, aspirations, and features diverse collaborations and experimental elements. Additionally, their collaboration with renowned film music composer Kazuma Jinnouchi for the soundtrack of Makoto Shinkai’s ‘Suzume’ further solidified their impact, with the film grossing over $300 million globally. ‘Suzume’ has not only achieved tremendous success in Japan, grossing over 14.22 billion Yen but has also resonated globally, including in the Philippines. RADWIMPS’ popularity in Southeast Asia is evident, with the Philippines ranking as the #3 streaming market for the band.

RADWIMPS WORLD TOUR 2024 “The way you yawn, and the outcry of Peace” IN MANILA will take place on May 1, 2024, at the Araneta Coliseum. This grand event is part of the larger tour that kicks off on April 6 in Tokyo and will further enchant audiences in Yokohama, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taipei, and Bangkok, before concluding on May 25 in Seoul.

RADWIMPS, known for their infectious melodies, powerful performances, and thought-provoking lyrics, continues to push boundaries and connect with fans worldwide. This tour stands as a testament to their unwavering dedication to their supporters and their commitment to delivering unforgettable live experiences.

To visually represent the energy of the tour, RADWIMPS collaborated with renowned Japanese artist Keiichi Tanaami for the tour poster, famous for his vibrant and wild works exhibited in galleries worldwide.
