Philippines joins Indonesia, Russia, France in World Cosplay Summit 2017 C Block

The Philippine Team joins former Champions Indonesia, Russia and France in C Block for the First Stage of the 2017 World Cosplay Summit Championships in Japan.

The World Cosplay Summit is an annual international cosplay event with the championship competition held in Japan. Now on it’s 14th year, WCS welcomes even more participants as Belgium and Puerto Rico enters the competition for the first time.

The 32 participating countries are divided into three blocks. Aside from the champion countries Indonesia, Russia and France, the Philippine team will be joined by the teams from Chile, Korea, Singapore, Finland, India, Switzerland, UAE and Portugal in C Block. In the A Block together with newcomers Belgium and Puerto Rico are Japan, Sweden, USA, Kuwait, Vietnam, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Australia and Brazil. The B Block is composed of UK, Italy, Thailand, Myanmar, Canada, Mexico, Denmark, Germany, China, Thailand, Spain, Netherlands and Malaysia.

Teams will be selected from each block to move on to the Second Stage.

The World Cosplay Summit 2017 will happen on July 29 to August 6, 2017 in Nagoya, Japan.
