This coming June 2 (Saturday), the University of the Philippines Anime Manga Enthusiasts (UP-AME) with Japan Foundation Manila will be conducting a lecture about William Shakespeare and his influence in anime and manga.
The talk will be delivered by guest speakers from Japan, which includes Tokyo Keizai University professor Ryuta Minami, University of Tsukuba Yukari Yoshihara, and manga author Harumo Sanazaki with Dr. Tetsuya Motohashi as the discussant.
The talk will start at 1PM and will be held at the Engineering Theater, Melchor Hall in University of the Philippines Diliman.
There will also be an exclusive screening of Miss Harumo Sanazaki’s Hamlet, featuring the voices of Mamoru Miyano, Tomokazu Seki, and Takehito Koyasu.
This is open to the public.
The lecture is part of the organization’s AME Talk Series which talks about anime and manga as literary works.
