Mari Okada’s directorial debut anime film “Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms” will be shown in Philippine cinemas according to Pioneer Films through Viewers’ Choice Philippines Facebook page.
Release date has yet to be confirmed.

The film’s promotional video has previously streamed on the Facebook page prior the announcement.
The film tells a story an immortal girl and a normal boy, who meet and become friends, sharing a bond that lasts throughout the years.
Maquia is written and directed by Mari Okada featuring character designs by Yuriko Ishii adapted from Akihiko Yoshida’s original designs. The film is also the first standalone feature-length, theatrically-released production of P.A.Works.
