Pioneer films has announced on Tuesday the new release date of Mari Okada’s directorial debut anime film “Maquia: When the Promised Flower Blooms” in the Philippines.
The film is set to premiere on September 19, 2018. The list of cinemas will be released soon.
“Maquia” was supposedly set to release on September 5 in local cinemas but moved due to lack of cinemas.
The film tells a story an immortal girl and a normal boy, who meet and become friends, sharing a bond that lasts throughout the years.
Maquia is written and directed by Mari Okada featuring character designs by Yuriko Ishii adapted from Akihiko Yoshida’s original designs. The film is also the first standalone feature-length, theatrically-released production of P.A.Works.
