The highly anticipated first Filipino-produced anime series, Barangay 143 will premiere on October 21, 2018.
The release details were announced during the media conference held on Wednesday. Photos of the media conference were uploaded on anime’s Facebook account.
The series will air every Sunday at 10:00 AM on GMA Network.
Barangay 143 is a feel-good coming of age story of Bren, a young Korean boy whose search for his father brings him to the Philippines. Lost and desperate for answers, is here in this foreign land that he finds an unlikely family in a team of misfits whose ambition is to bring glory to their hometown.
The cast includes Migo Adacer as Bren T. Park, Julie Ann San Jose as Vicky, Kelley Day as Jinri, Ruru Madrid as Wax, John Arcilla as Coach B, Cherie Gil as Sophia, Sylvia Sanchez* as Tita Baby, Paolo Contis as Koboy, Raver Eda as Buchoy and Edu Manzano as The Commissioner.
The series is co-produced by Synergy88 Entertainment Media Inc., August Media Holdings and TV Asahi, and it will air on GMA 7.
