After the success of their debut single, Aitakatta-Gustong Makita, MNL48 has revealed on Saturday that they are gearing up to release of the group’s upcoming second single.
While there were no details yet, MNL48, instead announced the new Senbatsu member for the group’s next single.
The new Senbatsu will be composed of Ella, Faith, Alyssa, Jem, Gabb, Sela, Abby and Sheki who remains the Center Girl. They are joined by new members: Brei, Belle, Coleen, Rans, Lei, Mari, Jan and Kay.
“I feel so blessed that I’m still the Center Girl for this next single. I’m very happy that there are still some people who believe in me and my capabilities to inspire through my talent and of course, our beautiful music. As the first Center Girl of MNL48, I want to leave a mark,” said Sheki who couldn’t believe that she would still be chosen as the Center Girl.
New Senbatsu members Rans and Coleen were also surprised about the announcement considering that they both came from Kenkyuusei.
“When I heard about the next single, all of us were crying because for me, it was unexpected. I started out as a trainee or Kenkyuusei and then later on, I got promoted as an official member and became part of Team MII. Now, I’m part of the second single of MNL48. I’m super happy and I will do my best to inspire people,” Rans said.
MNL48 Coleen also expressed her excitement to be part of the new Senbatsu. “I’m super happy and surprised because I was not expecting it since I’m still new in MNL48 since I started out as a trainee. I feel blessed and thankful that I was one of the chosen members to take part of this second single,” she said.
