Team Philippines made its entry into the finals of the World Cosplay Championships at the Aichi Arts Center in Nagoya, Japan on Saturday.
The Philippine cosplay group, Team Class S, will be going to the Finals together with 23 other teams after succeeding in the ‘Nagoya’ round of the competition.
This year’s World Cosplay Summit is composed of three stages. The ‘Tokyo’ round where teams were ranked based on the runway and costume check. The top teams will qualify directly to the Finals. The teams who didn’t qualify in the previous round will perform at the ‘Nagoya’ Round where only 16 team will go the Finals.
Joining them in the finals are the 8 teams from the Tokyo Round (USA, Chile, South Africa, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Russia, Australia and France) and 15 teams from the Nagoya Round (China, Germany, Brazil, Thailand, Korea, Finland, Belgium, Vietnam, Canada, Sweden, Denmark, Netherlands, Switzerland, Indonesia and Singapore).
The 2019 World Cosplay Championship Finals will happen on Sunday, August 4 at the Aichi Arts Center in Nagoya, Japan.
