Makoto Shinkai thanks PH for supporting ‘Weathering With You’

Japanese anime director Makoto Shinkai went to Twitter on Wednesday to thank his Filipino fans for supporting his latest featured film ‘Weathering With You.’

Shinkai responded to a tweet that #WeatheringWithYou topped the Philippine trending topics on Twitter. He tweeted “Many Thanks!”.

‘Makoto Shinkai’ also trended on the microblogging site Wednesday night.

Shinkai is widely known for directing the second highest-grossing anime film of all time, ‘Your Name,’ which previously released in Philippine cinemas in 2016. He also directed some famous anime films such as The Garden of Words and 5 Centimeters per Second.

‘Weathering With You’ is currently showing in local cinemas nationwide.
