Cosplay.ph announced on Wednesday that this year’s Cosplay Mania has been postponed to 2021 as the COVID-19 pandemic in the country continues.
“After consulting with our staff, our exhibitors, foreign guests and even the con-goers who go to our events, we have finally come to a difficult decision to reschedule Cosplay Mania 2020 to next year.” said Pablo Bairan, the president of Cosplay.ph via their online show on Youtube.
“But despite this setback, we’ll continue to provide programming through CPN (Youtube channel)”, he added.
Bairan also announced that they are set to produce their first online event called “Fanfes Online”. He described it as a “virtual convention” where viewers can participate to contests, play games, watch performances and many more.
Details about the online event will be unveiled soon.
Cosplay Mania was originally scheduled from October 3 to 4 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City.
