‘Barangay 143’ Season 2 coming to POPTV this December

The second season of the first-ever Filipino-produced animated series Barangay 143 is coming to POPTV streaming site this December.

According the to the company’s official Facebook page, the new season will start streaming on December 12.

Barangay 143 is a feel-good coming of age story of Bren, a young Korean boy whose search for his father brings him to the Philippines. Lost and desperate for answers, is here in this foreign land that he finds an unlikely family in a team of misfits whose ambition is to bring glory to their hometown.

The series is co-produced by Synergy88 Entertainment Media Inc., August Media Holdings and TV Asahi. The cast includes Migo Adecer, Julie Anne San Jose, Ruru Madrid, Kelley Day, John Arcilla, Edu Manzano and Cherie Gil.

The first season is currently streaming on Netflix and POPTV. It aired in local television October 2018.
