Mariya Takeuchi’s viral hit “Plastic Love” is now officially available for listening via music streaming like Spotify and Apple Music
The song was first released in 1984 as part Takeuchi’s debut album, “VARIETY”. It was also released as a single a year later.
“Plastic Love” became unexpectedly a worldwide hit on Youtube after a fan-video, which contains the eight-minute remix of the song with her still image used as the cover of the “Sweetest Music” single was uploaded in 2017. As of writing, the video has garnered more than 47 million views.
In 2019, a short video music video was released on Youtube in time with Takeuchi’s 40th anniversary in the music industry.
