“Shaman King” 2021 reboot unveils new key visual, PV

A new promotional video for the upcoming 2021 reboot of ‘Shaman King’ was unveiled on Wednesday.

The video reveals additional cast members and staff including the artist who will be performing theme song. A new key visual was also posted.

Inuko Inuyamam, Romi Park, Masahiko Tanaka and Wataru Takagi will reprise their roles as Manta Oyamada, Tao Ren, Ryunosuke Umemiya, Tokagerō, respectively. The character Bason will now voiced by Kousuke Takaguchi, replacing Shinpachi Tsuji.

Megumi Hayashibara, who previously sang the opening and ending theme songs for the 2001 edition will once again perform for the new anime’s theme songs.

The production previously announced Katsuyuki Konishi, Megumi Hayashibara, Yoko Hikasa and Minami Takayama as cast members.

“Shaman King” is based on the 1998 manga series written by Hiroyuki Takei. It follows the adventures of Yoh Asakura as he dreams to become the “Shaman King”. To do this, he must win the Shaman Fight, a once-in-a-lifetime competition that will decide just who is the most powerful and worthy shaman in the world.

The new anime is set to premiere in April 2021 and it will adapt all 35 volumes of the manga’s new complete edition.

Studio Bridge, who worked on the anime series Talentless Nana is in charge of animation production.
