MNL48 Team MIII captain Alice De Leon announces graduation

MNL48 Team MIII captain and former overall captain Alice de Leon has announced her graduation from the idol group.

MNL48 management also made an announcement on their official website.

“It is with a heavy heart that I, MNL48 Alice will say goodbye to all of you. I cannot thank you enough for the friendship you all so freely given. I will miss working with MNL48 and It’s been a pleasure getting to know and work with you during my time here,” said Alice in a statement

Alice was a member of the girl idol group Kawaii 5 before she joined MNL48 in 2018. She became a part of the pioneer Kami 7 and was also appointed as the captain of Team M. She was also awarded the role as Overall Captain in the same year, gaining her the nickname “Kapitana”.

Her strong work ethic pushed her to continue her life as an idol while pursuing a career as a nurse. She continued to be a part of the Kami 7 up until the 2nd General Elections. In the 3rd General Election held early this year, Alice ranked 11th place.

After the 3rd General Election, Alice announced that she will be stepping down as the group’s Overall Captain. She turned over her Captain’s badge to fellow pioneer member Sheki Arzaga.

Alice appeared in several music videos of MNL48 including the group’s first single “Aitakatta Gustong Makita”. Her last video appearance is in the music video for the song “River”.
