Netflix reveals first episode title, official logo for “One Piece” live-action series

Netflix revealed the title for the first episode of its live-action adaptation of the popular anime series “One Piece.”

The first episode is titled, Romance Dawn, which is also the title of Eiichiro Oda’s one-shot manga series published in 1996. It would later be used as the title for the first chapter and volume of the One Piece manga.

Matt Owens and Steven Maeda are credited for the episode’s teleplay.

Netflix also shared the official logo for the series.

The streaming giant announced the project in 2020 and it will have 10 episodes for the first season.

Eiichiro Oda is the show’s executive producer alongside Marty Adelstein and Becky Clements. Steven Maeda is the show’s showrunner and, along with Matt Owens, an executive producer, and writer.

“One Piece” is based on a manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. It has been serialized in the popular Weekly Shonen Jump magazine since 1997. It spawned a media franchise, which includes an anime series premiered in 1999, several OVAs, and anime films.
