“Violet Evergarden: The Movie” is coming to Netflix on Oct. 13

Violet Evergarden the Movie is coming to Netflix this October.

According to the streaming site’s “Coming soon” section, the film will premiere on Netflix on October 13.

Violet Evergarden: The Movie is the franchise’s second film and it acts as a sequel to the 2018 anime series. It is produced by Kyoto Animation and was released in Japan last September 2020.

The film is directed by Taichi Ishidate with Kana Akatsuki and Reko Yoshida as writers.

The cast members includes Yui Ishikawa, Daisuke Namikawa and Takehito Koyasu.

Netflix describes the film as follows:

As the world moves on from the war and technological advances bring changes to her life, Violet still hopes to see her lost commanding officer again.
