J-drama Gokusen returns to GMA7 this April

The popular Japanese drama series Gokusen is set to return on GMA 7 this April.

According to a promotional video, the series will make its comeback starting on Monday, April 25 at 8:25 AM.

Gokusen is based on a popular manga series written and illustrated by Kozueko Morimoto. It follows the story of Kumiko Yamaguchi, the granddaughter of a yakuza boss and teacher at an all-male private high school.

The series was adapted into a television drama and anime series, which aired in Japan in 2002 and 2004, respectively.

The live-action series was also aired in the Philippines in 2006.
