After a long hiatus due to the pandemic, one of the much awaited anime conventions in the Philippines, The Best of Anime is set to return this year as an onsite event.
The official social media accounts of the event have recently posted an announcement that reads, “It’s THE REUNION we’ve all been waiting for! THE BEST OF ANIME is back!”
The post further encourages fans to come dressed in their best anime-inspired outfit and join in the full day of non-stop anime fun featuring panels, cosplay competitions, guest appearances, gaming tournaments, and other stage activities and fan meets.
The Best of Anime is one of the biggest anime conventions in the country, attracting thousands of attendees every year. The yearly convention features a variety of activities, such as cosplay competitions, booths selling merchandise and anime-related items, anime screenings, panel discussions, and workshops.
Moreover, it has hosted live performances from popular Japanese music artists, which includes singer/writer Joe Inoue, idol group Starmarie, rock band BACK-ON and Antic cafe, and visual kei bands Uchusentai:NOIZ and heidi.
This year, The Best of Anime: The Reunion will take place at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay on September 16.
