Japanese artist Namie Amuro has announced on Wednesday that she will be retiring from the music industry next year.
According to the announcement made on her official Facebook page, she will retire on September 16, 2018, which also marks her 25th anniversary as a singer.

She, furthermore, thanked her fans as she could not have gone 25 years without their support.
During her last year, she mentioned that she will be focusing on creating a final album and performing at concerts.
Amuro is known for performing the theme songs of One Piece and Inuyasha.
