MNL48 producer Paolo Kurosawa on Tuesday announced his plans to form a new group for Hallohallo Inc’s ‘Tokyo Girls Collection’ boutique shop.
Kurosawa, who is also the head of Hallohallo Entertainment told the press that the group is called ‘Tokyo Girls Collection Senbatsu‘ and they are tasked to promote the Japanese clothing brands sold at the Tokyo Girls Collection Shop.
He also revealed that the members of the new group will include unranked members of MNL48, but he refused to give other details such as the number of members and member’s name. They will be announced on a later date, he said.
He further explained that the TGC Senbatsu is still part of the idol group MNL48, but more involved on the idol group’s fashion side.
The Tokyo Girls Collection Shop is a partnership between Japanese company W Tokyo and Hallohallo Inc. It will feature apparel, accessories, wigs and other products inspired by Japan’s “kawaii” culture, targeting teenagers and young adults in their 20s.
The shop will also hold regular events such as fashion shows and other events using its built-in runway. MNL48 was announced as one of the shop’s endorsers.
Japanese live-streaming service Showroom is also tapped to feature the events inside the shop.
The shop is expected to open this May at Ayala Vertis North in Quezon City.
