MNL48 announced the results of the 3rd General Election, naming the members from Top 17 to 36 (Undergirls), together with the Trainees.
The announcement was made during the a live event last February 13 via the online show “It’s Showtime Online Universe.”
The ranking is as follows:
Apart from the result, it was also announced that members from rank 17 to 32 will be performing the 7th Single Coupling Song. Idol member Cole Somera will be the center girl of the 7th Single Coupling Song.
The official ranking of the Top 16 member will be announced at a live event on February 20. They are set to perform the 7th Single of the group.
The name of the songs to be used in the 7th single will be announced on a later date.
The results were determined through the votes cast via the official website and the MNL48 Fan Club mobile app. Voting ended last November 30, 2020.
The General Election is an annual event borrowed from AKB48, their sister group in Japan, where fans can vote for their favorite member. It is similar to a popularity contest.
