Netflix announced on Monday the the lead voice cast of the highly anticipated Netflix original anime series, Trese.
Liza Soberano, a Filipino actress will voice Alexandra Trese in the Filipino language version of the series.
It was also announced that Filipino-Canadian actress Shay Mitchell will voice the lead character in the English version.
Trese is based on the Philippine graphic novel created by Budjette Tan and KaJO Baldisimo.
Set in a Manila where the mythical creatures of Philippine folklore live in hiding amongst humans, Alexandra Trese finds herself going head to head with a criminal underworld comprised of malevolent supernatural beings.
Shanty Harmayn and Tanya Yuson will produce the series at BASE Entertainment, a studio based in Jakarta and Singapore. Jay Oliva is the executive producer.
Trese will premiere in 2021.
