“Komi Can’t Communicate” gets anime series

Tomohito Oda’s popular manga series “Komi Can’t Communicate” is getting a television anime adaptation.

The series is slated for release this October. The anime’s key visual, promotional video and main cast members were also revealed.

The cast members includes Aoi Koga as Shouko Komi, Gakuto Kajiwara as Hitohito Tadano and Rie Murakawa as Najimi Osana.

The production is headed by Ayumu Watanabe who previously work on Mysterious Girlfriend X and Children of the Sea. Kazuki Kawagoe will be directing the series with Atsuko Nakajima in-charge of the character design. Deko Akao will handle scripts. OLM will be producing the series.

Komi Can’t Communicate is a comedy romance manga series by Oda Tomohito.

The quiet beauty Komi-san seems out of reach to all of her classmates, except one. Shigeo Tadano knows that Komi-san isn’t actually aloof, she just has poor communication skills. Komi-san wants to become better at speaking to others so she enlists Shigeo’s help.
